Day three results - Sunday prelims.
Beau Robinson (13-14) 100 yard Freestyle - :48.81 has
qualified 1st for tonight's finals. This is a new MAST
record and also a Sectional cut. Beau also qualified 2nd
in the 200 yard Butterfly with a new MAST record time of
2:02.51
Kyle Smith (11-12) has qualified 7th in the 50 yard
Backstroke with a new MAST record time of :30.65, Kyle
finished 17th in the 100 yard Freestyle with a LTB of
:58.61
Kelsey Meranda (13-14) finished 22nd in the 100 yard
Freestyle with a LTB swim of :56.39
Nice job EAGLES!
3/15/09:
Day two (2) results are finished.
Beau Robinson (13-14) wins his second STATE
CHAMPIONSHIP in the 200 yard Freestyle with a winning
time of 1:45.64 which is a Sectional cut and new MAST
record. Beau also finished third in the 50 yard
Freestyle with a time of :22.36
Taylor Woellert (13-14) finshed 10th in the 200 yard
Breaststroke while lowering her MAST record to 2:30.05
Kyle Smith (11-12) lowered his new MAST record time
in the 50 yard Freestyle to :26.14 for a 12th place
finish.
Keep up the great job MAST!
3/14/09:
Day 1 of the 2009 JO
Championships being held at Bowling Green University.
Congratulations to Beau Robinson - 2009 13-14 100
yard Butterfly STATE CHAMPION with a winning time of
:52.81 In prelims Beau swam a faster time of :52.62
which is a MAST Record & Sectional Cut. Beau split going
out in the prelims of :24.45 was also a new MAST Record.
Taylor Woellert (13-14) - 8th place finish in the 100
yard Breaststroke was a new MAST Record time of 1:08.75
which is also a Sectional Cut. Taylor's split going out
on the 100 yard Breaststroke of :32.75 was also a new
MAST Record.
Kyle Smith (11-12) - 8th place finish in the 100 yard
Backstroke with a time of 1:05.33 which is also a new
MAST Record. Kyle also swam the 50 yard Breaststroke for
a 24th place finish with a time of :35.75
Participating at the JO Championships are: Beau
Robinson, Taylor Woellert, Kyle Smith & Kelsey Meranda.
Way to go EAGLES for a great day 1 opening.
Update from this Saturday AM prelim session.
Kelsey Meranda (13-14) 28th place in the 50 yard
Freestyle with her life time best time of :26.02
Beau Robinson (13-14) continues to rock with a 1st
place prelim swim in the 200 yard Freestyle with a time
of 1:46.94 which is a new MAST record. Beau also placed
2nd in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of :22.23 which
is also a new MAST record & Sectional cut.
Kyle Smith (11-12) set a new MAST record in the 50
yard Freestyle with a 11th place prelim swim of :26.20
Taylor Woellert (13-14) lowered her own 200 yard
Breast MAST record with a 10th place prelim swim of
2:31.78

10/23: PRACTICE
CANCELLATIONS NOTICE: This coming Friday's practice
and Saturday's practice will be cancelled. Friday is the
first day of the High School State Water Polo
championships and several of our coaches will be going
up to cheer on our boys team. I would like to ask anyone
who has a free evening go up to Mason City Rec Center
and cheer for the boys.
Saturday is the second
day of the water polo tournament and the Worthington
meet and all of the coaches will be gone to one or the
other event.
The last practice cancellation will be Friday,
October 31st. It is Halloween and last year only 3 or 4
swimmers showed up, so we are giving the kids the
evening off.

turning in your Fund-a-Thon Sheets.
10/11: Both of the front covers for the HEAT SHEET
advertising are now sold -- way to go!!! Plenty of
other spaces still available.
10/6: Just about 1 week left to raise money for the
Fund-a-Thon. Get those pledges done!!
10/6: Our First MAST FOOD & FUNds event will be at
Shooters Sport Grill on October 16th. 10% of the
amount spent at the restaurant from any customer who
identifies themselves as being with MAST will be donated

9/28: The meet sign up sheet
for the meet in Worthington, Ohio is up at the pool. The
deadline to sign up is October 8th on the sign up sheet,
or October 10th by email. I have to have ALL entries,
paperwork and check to the meet host by October 14th. I
will not accept any entry requests after Oct. 10th.

Fall USA
Swimming officials clinic for officials who new
recertification and any new officials will be Wednesday
Oct. 1st, 6:30 - 9:30 PM at Dixie Heights High School in
Edgewood KY or Saturday Oct. 4th 9:00 AM to Noon at
Keating Natatorium. The clinic fee is $6. For anyone
thinking about becoming a swim official please contact
Lou Hudson
the officials chairperson for more information. What

ALL swimmers at 7:00 pm in the High School Cafeteria on
Monday September 8th. Please be sure to attend.
8/12:
Fall/Winter sign-up's dates will be August
25,26,27 and 28 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM and Sept 3'rd and
4'th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and Sept 6'th from 10:00 AM
- 11:30 AM. All new swimmers to MAST should
come prepared to swim and be ready to show a coach what
your skills are. Your child will be placed
in the practice group that best fits their skills.
You may
pre-register online and
print off the forms you will need to bring.
Returning swimmers are encourage to
pre-register.
There will be optional
and separate stroke clinics starting August 18'th.
