Congratulations to the girls & boys Water Polo teams for their 4th place finishes in the 2011 State Water Polo Championships.

Girls results:

Friday, October 21
Semi-Finals - Thomas - 10 / Milford - 4
The Eagles took on the # 1 seed Thomas and were able to create 11 ejections on Thomas but were only able to put the ball in the back of the net on two of the man-ups, that and two missed five meter penalty shots took set up Thomas for the win.

Saturday, October 22
Finals - Napoleon - 10 OT / Milford - 9
The girls fell behind Napoleon 7 - 3 at the half. They could have threw the towel in but turn up the defense and shut down Napoleon the second half and tied the game up to force over time. The Eagles then came up short by 1 goal to finish in 4th place.

The girls finished the 2011 Water Polo season with a 27 - 10 record.
This was the Eagles third straight trip to the State Finals which has never been accomplished before.

Congratulations to senior Julia Prus for being chosen to the 2011 State All Tournament Team.

Boys results:

Friday, October 21
Semi-Finals - St. Francis - 13 / Milford - 11
The Eagles lost a hard fought battle to the Knights as each team kept trades goals for the first half which ended up tied at 6 apiece.
St. Francis jump ahead in the third period by two and were able to hold off the Eagles for a two goal win.

Saturday, October 22
Finals - Upper Arlington 12 / Milford 9
After falling behind the Bears 8 - 3 at the half, the Eagles just couldn't turn the corner and lost by three to finish in 4th place.

The boys finished the season with a new record for the most wins with a 41 - 7 record.
This was the first time the Eagles have made it to the State Finals four years in a row.

Congratulations to senior David Matulis for being selected to the 2011 State All Tournament Team.

I would like to express a BIG THANK YOU to all the support from the parents & alumni that came out to cheer on the Eagles during the State Championships. You were awesome!

State Results All Ohio Team

10/17: Congratulations to our Boys & Girls Water Polo teams as both programs have advanced to the State Championships to be played at Mason High School on October 21-22.

Our boys team won the South Regional to earn the # 1 seed from the South. While our girls placed 2nd with a victory over Sycamore to pick up the # 2 seed from the south.

Congratulations to Julia Prus, Aleeyse Utech, David Matulis & Thomas Prus for being selected to the 2011 South Regional All Tournament teams.

10/25: Congratulations to the boys on their state championship title. An amazing come from behind victory.
