MAST Fall Swim Clinics and New Swimmer Evaluations

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your interest in the Milford Area Swim Team (MAST).  We have big goals and dreams for team and individual success in competitive swimming and we look forward to you becoming a member of the team. 

Team training is set to start on Tuesday, September 6.  Prior to the start of regular swim practice, we offer two programs for new swimmers.  (1) Evaluations for swimmers new to MAST and (2) Stroke Clinics open to new swimmers and returning MAST swimmers.

Evaluations:

We would like to invite you to sign up for an evaluation by one of our MAST coaches.  This evaluation is used to place your swimmer in the proper practice group. 

Each evaluation will last about 15 minutes.  Swimmers who sign up for an evaluation should wear their suit to the pool and be prepared to swim. Swim goggles are strongly recommended.

Evaluations are offered between 6:00 and 8:40 pm on Monday, August 23 through Thursday, August 26 and again Monday, August 30 through Thursday, September 2.

MAST Pre-Season Stroke and Technique Clinics:

We will offer two, one-week swim clinics during the same two weeks.  Week One will be stroke fundamentals and Week Two will advance Week One skills to a higher level and will include additional work with starts and turns.

There will be two clinic groups offered each week.  The 6:00 – 6:45 pm clinic will be for swimmers 10 & younger. The 7:00 – 8:00 pm clinic is for swimmers 11 & older.  Clinic participants are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the clinic start.

The clinics are offered between 6:00 and 8:15 pm on Monday, August 23 through Thursday, August 26 and again Monday, August 30 through Thursday, September 2.  Additional information for the stroke clinics is included in the attached PDF documents.
