Here are a couple items that cannot wait for Sunday.

  • BLACK 2 & BLACK 3 PRACTICE TIMES FOR TUESDAY & THURSDAY CHANGE:  Going forward we will start Black 2 & Black 3 practices at 6:15 pm

 

  • WEDNESDAY MORNING PRACTICE, January 25:  We WILL have practice Wednesday at 6:00 am for Black 2 & Black 3.  There has not been a decision regarding school closures at this time, but one may be made at 6:30 am tomorrow.  The weather forecast is for more snow overnight (starting around 1:00 am Wednesday).  The forecast for this past weekend was for light snow with no more than an inch of accumulation, so we all know how that turned out.  As always, it is the family decision regarding whether your child attends practice if the road conditions are questionable.  If I can make it there, I will be there tomorrow morning unless I get a call from Milford high school telling me that we must cancel.  If I get that call, I will e-mail everyone as soon as I hear of a closure.

 

  • THURSDAY AFTERNOON PRACTICE, January 26:  We just learned of high school diving practice on Thursday so we will change our Thursday practice schedule for this Thursday. I apologize for any inconvenience this change will cause.

  • OHIO SWIMMING REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – February 18 – 20.  Saturday – Feb. 18, Sunday – Feb. 19, and Monday – Feb. 20 are the correct days for this meet.  This meet is for all MAST swimmers aged 14 & younger who have not qualified for the OSI JUNIOR  CHAMPIONSHIP (to be held March 9 – 12 at Mason).  If a swimmer has one, or a few, cuts for the Junior Championship we recommend competing in this meet as well as the Junior Champs.  Please check with your group coach if you have questions regarding which meet (if not both) your child should enter.  We would like to have every eligible MAST swimmer at one, or both, championship meet(s)

 

  • OHIO SWIMMING SENIOR MEET – March 3 – 5 at Mason.  The long rumored OSI Senior meet for the first weekend of March has been confirmed.  It is my current understanding that this meet is for swimmers 14 & Older (or who have competed in high school). It is strongly recommended that all eligible MAST swimmers sign-up to compete in this meet. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
