Hello MAST Families,
Parents meeting and SwimVille suit fitting
This coming Thursday, September 19 we will have a parent meeting in the Milford High School auditorium.
The meeting will start at 6:00 pm and will likely be short (maybe 30 minutes or so).
As you probably know by now, we have switched our team affiliation to Speedo.
The Speedo company is not requiring MAST families to immediately switch to all Speedo items, but they ask that any new team related items be Speedo products.
Our swimsuit, apparel and swim gear supplier - SwimVille – will be on hand after the meeting to help fit swimmers for the new team suits.
SwimVille will also be selling other swim apparel and equipment. Swimmers in Black 2 & Black 3 should have their own fins & paddles.
I would also like Black 2 & Black 3 swimmers to get a snorkel and a tempo trainer (these last two items are optional).
All other groups should have a team suit (one is supplied to you as part of your registration with MAST) and goggles.
We will have fins and other equipment available at the pool however some swimmers will prefer to buy their own fins so that they don’t have to dig around every practice for a pair that fits.
Upcoming swim meets
There will be a couple early season swim meet opportunities that we hope you will consider. Since most meets these days seem to have an entry cap (no more than “X” number of swimmers entries accepted) we try to get our entries to the meet host as soon as possible.
Please check the MAST team commit deadline and go to the “Events & Competition” sidebar to see the meet schedule.
When the meet file is received from the host you will be able to indicate your commitment by selecting the “Edit Commitment” tab at the top of the “Event Details” page.

This is a short week for practices due to water polo games.
We hope that you will take full advantage of the practices that we are able to offer this week.

Swim Video of the week – Sarah Sjoestrom surprise gold in the 100 meter Freestyle at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. So far the best video I can find (I’m sure there are better ones out there somewhere… but her reaction to winning is genuine and priceless)
