WEEKLY UPDATE - SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 2024

Hello MAST Families,

Quick notes:

1) Practice Schedule Changes: We need to make some additional practice schedule adjustments, I will endeavor to maximize opportunities for all groups relative to their levels and I will also try to stay as close to the original practice schedule as I can.  The new practice schedule will be out tonight and will take effect tomorrow (June 2).  I apologize again for the changes but I am trtying to assemble the best practice opportunities for our swimmers given the resources available to us.  Please check back tonight, I will try to post the schedule before 9:30 pm

2) CAC meet this past weekend.  AS can be expected from an early season there were some tremendous breakthrough swims and some swims that did not meet the mark, but every time we get to compete, we get a chance to learn something and make progress toward end of season goals.  The biggest highlight from this past weekend (for me as a coach) was the amount of enthuastic cheering that took place during the Sunday session.  I don't know who lead, or if it was a group effort, but it was very encouraging to see our swimmers at the end of lanes or along the pool side cheering for teammates.  I hope that this very positive trend continues.  Great job everyone!

3) Meet Sign-Up: Sign-up deadline for the Marlin Invitational is tomorrow, Monday, June 2 - Please commit before 9:00 pm.

4) RAYS Invitational: I have been contacted by some people who missed the sign-up deadline so I will open the commit time back up until 10:00 pm tonight.  If you are still interested in swimming the RAYS meet, please select your days an events tonight.

5) SOSL Meets: These meets will be on Tuesday nights.  The first meet is Tuesday, June 10 at the Cincinnati SPorts Club.  We would like to have a more complete team for these meets so we are encouraging everyone on MAST to swim the SOSL meets this summer.
