- WHITE 1 Group swimmers will only enter 25 yd. events (1 length of the 25 yard pool)
- WHITE 2 Group swimmers may enter 25 yd. events and/or 50 yd. events
- RED Group swimmers may enter 50 yd. events and 100 yd. events (no 25 yd. events)
- BLACK Group swimmers may enter 50 yd. events and 100 yd. events.
2) Volunteers - we will need as much help with this event as we can get from parents. We will need two timers for each lane, parenets to help get younger swimmers to their events, a starter, an announcer and people to organize timer sheet for results.
3) New parent information - how to enter the meet:
- Go to "Events & Competition" in the sidebar menu - Select "Events"
- Next: Select "Team Events" (you will find the meets listed)
- Select "MAST Intrasquad"
- Find the tabs across the top and select "Commit" - you will get a drop down menu, choose your swimmers name
- Select events, or put a note along side your swimmers name if you want the coaches to choose events.
4) More information for younger swimmers (and their parents)
- When you arrive at the pool on the day of the meet, you will want to look at the heat sheet to find your swimmers Event Number, Event Name, Heat and Lane. It is recommended that swimmers use a "Sharpie" pen and write this information on their arm or leg (a cool tattoo) using a small table configuration - see example below.

- At larger meets a heat sheet will often be available before you arrive.
- There is also an app (of course there is) that larger meets use to publish heat sheets and meet results. The app is called "Meet Mobile" and it is highly recommended that you have this app on your phone.
- Swimmers need to pay attention to announcements and to the flow of the meet.
- Each swimmer should be behind the starting blocks (or in a designated area - often called "clerk of course") one event prior to their race.
- For example, WHITE Group swimmer in Event 2, the 25 Back, should be lining up behind their assigned starting block (but back from the starting area) while Event 1, the 100 Freestyle, is starting.
If you have any other questions, please check with Coach Emily or Coach Monty.
Thanks - See you at the pool!
Coach Monty
(and "Go Reds!)
